Taks Aid 2004-2006 Substitute Teacher 2006-2008 I want to be a tutor because I love teaching students and helping them become better readers and writers. People make assumptions about you based on how you write before they meet you. With the advent of text messaging, blogging, and youtube, reading and writing well is a dying art. I want to help the kids who fell through the cracks and made it to high school but still cant read or write on grade level. I am a new teacher so I have a base in pedagogy but I also have experience beneath me so I believe I am a perfect fit.
