I've volunteered as a tutor for a co-worker in her English 1301 course for San Jacinto college. She currently has a B average. I've completed English 1301,1302, and African American Literature, making A's and B's in all courses. Additionally I've completed College readiness Algebra II (CRMA 0372) and College Algebra, earning an A in 0372 and a B in Algebra. I'd like to become a tutor because I recognize that everyone isn't going to immediately excel at certain subjects. Initially, it may make them feel like they can't pass the subject at all, but I believe that with the right support system, guidance, patience, and determination, anyone is capable of passing any class with an A or B average.

Hobbies
Personally I understand the struggle of feeling like math was never going to get easier, but thankfully I've had pretty amazing professors at Lamar that have changed my outlook on math. I went from feeling like math wasn't for me to making A's and B's, so I know that it is possible to succeed. I've also been writing poetry and short stories since I was in elementary,so writing holds a very special place in my life and heart.
