I have earned degrees in both English and Creative Writing from two post-secondary institutions: Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota, and San Diego State University, San Diego, California. A few years ago, in 2012, I ventured south and relocated to Fort Worth, Texas. It is in Fort Worth that I have been working toward obtaining a Ph.D. in American Literature while acting as a tutor in many areas of English, such as writing, reading, literature, and grammar. I also tutor math subjects, including algebra, geometry, precalculus, trigonometry, and elementary and middle school math. I can also help students with the subjects tested by the ACT, SAT, and GRE. Even though studying and tutoring take up most of my time, I manage to save some volunteer hours for a worthy cause, the Human Society of Fort Worth. When I have free time, I prefer to spend it cooking and trying new recipes, playing the bass guitar, decorating interior spaces, and completing complex puzzles. Because family is a very important part of my life, it brings me joy to spend time visiting with my grandfather and grandmother regularly.
